Jerry and the yaks

Kayaks that is!

This weekend we went for our inaugural paddle in our new kayaks. We started on the Murray river near Corowa, and paddled (downstream of course!) for about 4 k down to Lake Moodemere for a bit of "carry-the-yaks-up-the-rocks-and-over-to -the-lake", and then a bit more paddling, and a picnic lunch. Lovely!

We went with a couple of friends so we did some car shuffling pre-trip so that we didn't have to paddle back upstream. Result!

Looks like a blast!! We plan on taking our youth group kayaking on the Chattahoochee soon and I am pumped!

Love the pictures! Thank you for the comment! I promise that today's post will not have you drooling. Deal?

But there will be o promises made about future posts.... **evil cackles*

Blessings,
Lacy

Wonderful! I haven't been paddling (mostly canoes) in ages. My dad (and the commenter above's dad, actually!) is an avid canoer (canoeist?). I think I have the gene for it, but it's just underdeveloped.

Would love to see more pictures from your adventure!
