Today it has been

VERY windy

and very wet - 83mm in the last 24 hours and still raining

The rainwater tank is overflowing, and the overflow pond is nearly full. Hope other Victorian and SA readers aren't flooded out!

Feeling hot hot hot

and it aint going to get any better in the next few days. I will be hiding in the house with all the curtains drawn as per usual. It feels a bit like a cave, but at least it's a reasonably comfortable cage. I seal off the parts of the house not in use. I'll be trying to leave the living area air conditioner off as much a as possible. I can normally manage until about 4pm when the house normally tips over the 30 degree mark, and then I have to relent for an hour to get the temp back to 27 or so.

Fingers crossed everyone is sensible and we have no fires this week.

Still Raining!

24 hours later, and it's still raining! Fantastic!

Of course, the yard now resembles a mud pit where all the grass has died or been worn away by the dogs, but you can't have everything :*)

Rain!

It's raining!! I have to say it's the best sound on a tin roof :*). This is the second day of good soaking rain in the last 7 days, so that is great for the garden. Alas, it's not a drought-breaker by any stretch, but I'm not going to complain. It's just lovely to be inside without needing a fan on to keep cool. In fact, it's so grey and rainy it could almost be England........
