The continuing adventures of Margo and Jerry.
That is a seriously impressive harvest, do you have scales in the garden or actually remember to do it when you get back inside?Puts my two miniscule and 1 giant butternut squash in shade that's for sure.Making marmalade soon, will be trying your recipe this year. :-)
so that for 6 months?? the savings would be great..If you paid 2 a kilo for tomatos you saved $103 ,123 on pumpkins-also at 2 a kilo,$143 on apples at 3 a kilo//thats 369 on those 3 items along..truly astounding
@greenfumb - I have scales in the kitchen, and remember to weight about 95% of what I pick :-). Good luck wit hthe marmalade@joyfulhomemaker - my pumpkin harvest wasn't as impressive as yours :-). And yes, that's for around 6 months
absolutely love it that you tally the garden harvest. makes for a pretty satisfying conclusion to the season, I'd imagine!
As I have a goal to produce 80% of my families fruit and veg, I too need to start weighing not only what I grow but what I buy.
You have done very good. :)
